I don't know how Kelly's MSNBC interview w/Alex Jones furthers public enlightenment. I do know that I personally won't watch it.
Trump courted conspiracist Alex Jones; why not Megyn Kelly?
Kelly's using Alex Jones -- the guy who thinks Sandy Hook was a hoax -- to improve ratings. Trump used Jones to become president.

CAN YOU IMAGINE anything sleazier than TV host Megyn Kelly trying to boost ratings by doing an interview with Alex Jones, the conspiracy theorist, radio host and operator of the right-wing website Infowars?
Jones has called the 9/11 attacks an ‘inside job.” Jones has claimed that the mass murder of six educators and 20 first-grade children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., was a hoax. Can you imagine anything worse than Kelly doing an interview on national TV with Jones?
Well … actually … you can. How about a presidential candidate (yeah, Donald Trump) going on Jones’ show prior to the election and saying, “Your reputation is amazing. I will not let you down. You will be very, very impressed, I hope. And I think we’ll be speaking a lot.” Can you imagine?
Trump was speaking to a man who said the children murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School were actors playing a part, and he said, “Your reputation is amazing. I will not let you down.” Can you imagine anything worse than that?
Well … actually … you can. How about the newly-elected president (yeah, Trump again) calling up this same fear-mongering, falsehood-spreading publicity hound and thanking him for his support. Saying, according to Jones (which wasn’t denied by Trump) “Listen, Alex, I just talked to kings and queens of the world, world leaders, you name it, but he said it doesn’t matter, I wanted to talk to you, to thank your audience, and I’ll be on the next few weeks to thank them. I said is this is a private call? And he said no, I want to thank your viewers, thank your listeners for standing up for this republic, we know what you did early on, throughout this campaign, standing up for what’s right.”
Standing up for what’s right?
The father of one of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims, Mark Barden, whose 7-year-old son Daniel was murdered in the massacre, said during the campaign, when the Jones-Trump relationship surfaced, “The Republican presidential nominee of the United States is being advised by a delusional sociopath. It speaks for itself. What else can you say about that? It’s disgusting.”
The murdered school principal’s daughter Christina Hassinger, told a reporter who asked about the Megyn Kelly interview, “We have been harassed repeatedly by people who we call hoaxers that think this hasn’t happened. When there is going to be such a widely available interview with attention given to one of the hoaxer ringleaders, it is going to unleash the trolls on us tenfold all over again.”
"Shame? We can’t be sure if Kelly has any. We know for sure that Trump does not."
