Hatfields & Mccoys History channel miniseries

Looks good so far as costumes and sets and such, but damn does the History channel over sensationalize and ADD the hell out everything.

Was kind of interested in this myself when I saw it in the cable guide.

You find out what someone is really like in "battle," and Olbermann is who you want to be in a foxhole with, Patrick said. "On the air, we had each others' backs," said Olbermann.

Personally I'd prefer Robert Duvall as Devil Hatfield. In Get Low he even had the beard.

I prefer Robert Duvall in anything. He and Sean Penn are the greatest American actors currently, in my view, but I have a particular fondness for Duvall.

I wish Sean Penn would act more. The last movie I saw him in was Fair Game, and that was two years ago. Not one of his best performances either for that matter. He was great in Sweet and Lowdown, Dead Man Walking, and Milk. I also loved the two movies he directed The Pledge and Into the Wild. In fact, Into the Wild was maybe my favorite movie of the decade.

Pretty good show. It's a TV movie for sure, but Costner is great in it.
