An Al Burt Xmas carol medley by The Boston Pops

Postby Marie » Thu Dec 24, 2015 7:11 am

Al Burt is my favorite Christmas carol composer and I just discovered this medley arranged by Star Wars composer John Williams of many of Burt's famous carols (there were just 15 in all, incl. "Caroling Caroling," "The Star Carol," and "Some Children See Him"). It's performed by the Boston Pops.

Merry Christmas and God bless us, every one!

Continuing with Al Burt carols...

A reminder of whose eyes we may be looking into whenever we meet a homeless person, a refugee, or indeed any stranger:

I met a stranger yestreen. I put food in the eating place,
Drink in the drinking place, music in the listening place;
And in the name of the Triune, He blessed myself and my house,
My cattle and my loved ones.

And the lark sang in His song:

Often, often, often goes the Christ in the stranger's guise.
Often, often, often goes the Christ in the stranger's guise.
