Gene Wilder, 83

The word genius doesn't seem adequate to describe his talent and the contribution Wilder made to late 20th century comedy.

You find out what someone is really like in "battle," and Olbermann is who you want to be in a foxhole with, Patrick said. "On the air, we had each others' backs," said Olbermann.

My first experience seeing Gene Wilder was not in "Willy Wonka", or any of the Mel Brooks movies that he was in. Actually, the first time I saw him was in a small role as an undertaker in Bonnie And Clyde (1967). Afterwards, I thought to myself that this was a pretty funny character actor on the rise! 8)

Rest in Peace, Gene. And say "hi" to Gilda Radner for us!
