Cartoonist/illustrator Jack Davis, R.I.P., at age 91

After complications of a stroke at age 91. :(

He was one of the original cartoonists at MAD Magazine, and worked on a lot of other projects, including movie posters, albums, etc.

Wow, that's the cartoon style of my growing-up years. His work was frickin EVERYWHERE and he was widely imitated, but how many people knew his name?

Illustrators don't get the celebrity status they deserve. It ain't fair.
